Platelet plasma treatment

Plasmodent

Gum Treatment

Platelet plasma treatment or PLASMODENT is an innovative therapy against periodontal disease. It consists in locally injecting platelet plasma in the gums. Platelet plasma is obtained from the patient’s blood, so there is basically NO possibility of it being rejected or having side-effects or causing allergies. This is a 100% natural treatment.

Plasmodent is excellent at treating gum disease as it lowers the mobility of the teeth. It makes the gums look healthy and stimulates bone growth.

Why would one benefit from the this treatment?

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Platelet plasma is high-efficiency biological stimulator of regeneration processes. It contains a high concentration of growth factors, as well as enzymes, proteins and vitamins in a natural combination.
The purpose of the platelet plasma treatment is not only to stop the inflammation in the gum, but also to catalyze the natural processes that bring back the color, form and structure of the periodontal tissues, as well as to prevent the loss of density in the bone tissue.
Thanks to the growth factors it contains, Plasmodent favors the forming of new blood vessels, thus locally stimulating blood flow and “feeding” the gum. At the same time, it strengthens the existent bone tissue and stimulates the formation of new bone tissue. Furthermore, local immunity is also activated.

Who is the treatment suggested for?

ARE YOU A CANDIDATE?

The injected plasma stimulates the regeneration of the local tissues and can be used for several dentistry problems such as:
  • Gum disease: helps maintain the gums healthy
  • Gingivitis: reduces gum inflammation and bleeding; brings the gums back to their normal form and color; strengthens the gums
  • Tooth mobility: helps lower mobility and firmly attach the tooth to the gum
  • Localized periodontal disease: fights the disease; stimulates the regeneration of affected tissues; reduces tooth mobility
  • Periodontal disease that affects extended areas or the entire periodontal tissue: fights the disease; stimulates the regeneration of affected tissues; reduces tooth mobility
  • After simple or complicated tooth extractions: reduces healing time and the risk of swelling; eliminates pain
  • Alveolitis: fights the infection; reduces the pain associated with it and the healing time;
  • After bone additions and gum sutures: reduces healing time; stimulates the fast integration of the grafts; eliminates pain
  • After tooth implant procedures: reduces healing time; enhances the bone integration of implants; reduces the risk of rejecting the implants; eliminates pain
  • Peri-implantitis (an infection that appears around tooth implants): fights the disease; helps rebuild the affected bone and periodontal tissues;
